During this annual meeting, Fieracavalli gives its complete look upon the equestrian world proposing various aspects of equitation, from the show and selling of equestrian accessories and clothing to the equestrian competition, also passing through artistic shows that conjugate the equestrian arts with music and dance.
When entering in the autumnal event in the Verona fair, which now reached its 112th edition, you will find many and different interesting events: the common denominator, the passion for horses. During the fair you will get the chance to appreciate the beauty and the force of these marvellous animals, in a praise dedicated to them which flows into diverse fields, from sports to arts.
At Fieracavalli you will have the chance to see scientific, business and cultural meetings, in an environment which assures positive results, if we have a look to the numbers which describe its performances: the 2009 edition hosted over 150 thousand people during the four days of the event, creating interesting meetings from the point of view of both culture and business.
At Fieracavalli, though, you will not just have the chance to go to meetings and buy equestrian clothing and accessories: you will also be able to see sporting and artistic moments. Sports are concentrated in Jumping Verona, the Italian stop of the showjumping tournament of the Western Europe Rolex FEI World Cup, which the city of Verona is proud to host for the tenth consecutive year inside its tribute to the equestrian art.
The shows at the Fieracavalli Verona, though, are not over: conscious of the artistic importance of the city, whose arena is a world renowned symbol for music, particularly opera, and dance, the organizers inserted Horselyric in the program, the music and dance show in which the protagonist, of course, are horses, accompanied by choreographies and lyrical voices or great contemporary interpreters.
Hence, nights at Fieracavalli from 4th to 6th November will be in honour of art and music, starting from 9 pm; this artistic part of the Fieracavalli was added four years ago, and for the 2010 edition there is a special guest: the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre from Jerez de la Frontera.
The presence of the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre emphasises the importance of Verona Fieracavalli in the equestrian world, being the Real Escuela an unquestioned name among the most prestigious dressage academies. Dressage, or “horse training competition”, necessitates an iron discipline both for horses and cavaliers: from clothing to movements, everything’s perfectly controlled, and the figures are studied till the smallest details.
The event in its whole, then, attracts the attention of a varied public, made of professionals of equitation, but also of amateurs and simple horse and equitation lovers, who will find sporting and dressage shows of high level, as well as simply curios people and music and dance lovers will find the nigh shows of Horselyric an interesting proposal in the artistic panorama.

A collection of things Altaïr can do on a horse in Assassin’s Creed. Jump mounts: You have to land on the horse from a height that you would otherwise survive. The third one (from the fence) is a 16-bar stunt mount, meaning Altaïr would lose 16-bars of sync if the horse weren’t there to break his fall. Any higher and he falls *through* the horse and dies. Dismounts: You can aim your dismount to the front, side or back. Sometimes you can dismount advantageously: into a haystack to Vanish, onto a View Point, or over a guard post. Changing horses midstream: Aim your dismount from one horse so that you mount another horse. Invincible rearing: The horse can take unlimited abuse while rearing. There’s a brief window between rears when it’s vulnerable to being knocked down. Meanwhile, the guards kill each other (two or three die in this short clip) especially in Memory Block 6 when their swords cause the most damage. Credit to ianxofour for this concept. Fighting on the horse: Everyone knows how to do this – hold Right Trigger and press X (R1 + Square on PlayStation 3). Fighting behind the horse: The horse will kick anyone who stands behind it during a fight, even Altaïr. It throws guards off balance but doesn’t cause any permanent damage. Fighting inside the horse: A glitch that happened on the way to Arsuf. I was fighting on the horse and somehow fell inside of it (that’s when I started recording). The game thought I was still on the horse. None of the controls worked and …
